Wow, I have really been slacking off lately. Let me catch up. Last week I had the opportunity to hang out with two of my students and go BOWLING! It was a great opportunity to sort-of confront them about their perception of Converge Students and what they thought about the atmosphere. You know those times when you ask about something that you know the truth about, don't expect a real answer, and then oddly enough get the truth shoved in your face. Yeah, this was one of those times. It was great to see my students open up and really communicate on a serious level with me. The funny thing is that one of those students is a part of the high school boys' bible study that just started and he was the only one to show up that week for some reason. So, in honor of what he had already gone through with me at the bowling alley, the other bible study leader and I decided to grill him about his attitude. (We tried to have fun with it) The cool thing was that he was able to hear himself and listen to what was coming out of his mouth - TWICE that week.

And this all tied into the message that I was able to talk about that Sunday for big church which was called "Your Move" by Andy Stanley. The point was that we have to stop lying to ourselves and look in the mirror asking, "Why am I doing this, really?" (Emphasis on the really...)
