Last week I used my 25$ to buy materials for a combined CTF (Capture the Flag) Game with both my High School Converge Students and Broad Run FCA Peeps. We did it at night, so we had to use glow sticks to identify teams. It was really cool! the best part was that some of the students were convinced that CTF was only cool when you were in grade school
and there was no way that it would be cool now; only to find out that it is the best game ever when played with glow sticks. I didn't have the best turn out, but we had 14 peeps show up. Probably a lack of communication about location and general emphasis from the FCA leadership team and myself, but that is just a learning curve. I didn't help them to plan it as well as I could have, either. No matter the circumstances, spending 25$ on supplies like glow sticks and caution tape was well worth it, and here is why: After the game we all went to McD's and hung out, providing me, my wife, and my students the opportunity to really get to know some of the BRHS FCA students. We were able to just chill and talk about life in a very nonchalant way (which was a GREAT ministry opportunity)! Kudos to the inventors of CTF. And thanks so much yet again to 25$/month sponsor who really affords me these opportunities...
