My recent focus has been LTP 2010, better known as LEGACY. The 2010 Leadership Training Project began at about 5:00pm on November 5th and lasted until church on Sunday morning at 10:10am. The best part was what happened in between. Amongst the campfire, bowling, ice skating & playground tag (yes we did) was hours of brainstorming, processes, sticky notes & pure, straight-up honesty.
In a word, it was awesome. To be brutally honest, I had expressed doubts that some of my leadership team was actually committed, let alone had the passion to pursue what we needed to pursue. This weekend helped me to quell some of my doubts and put away some of my pride. I needed it. I have awesome students, I really do. They may not be as crazy about Jesus as me; they may not have the drive that I do, but they understand that what we are doing is far from a waste of time. They understand that students in Ashburn need reached. That they need pursued. And if you looked in on one of our meetings, you would see that very thing happening. I just pray that God would continue to open doors and provide opportunities. There is no doubt in my mind that we are willing (and hopefully ready).
PS: Here are a few iPad wallpapers that I created for different ministry things. Check them out and download them if you want to... Peace.
