This last week I started a new trend of splitting my $25 on two separate student meetings. Now that I have my schedule figured out for the year and I have tons of awesome volunteers, I am able to be a Pastor more often than an Admin.


1st Hangout - California Tortilla with one of my newest students. Here we both learned things we never knew before. He learned about my passions for Youth Ministry and my goals for him and I learned about Dragon Age and what a J_Tagged XBOX is. He also gave me an Kontrol Freak, which always intrigued me. For those of you who don't know what a Kontrol Freak is, well it's kinda sad really, but you can check them out here.

2nd Hangout - Johnny Rockets with one of my regulars. Did you know that Johnny Rockets has a lot of similarities to Sonic? The neon lights, chili-dogs, fries, colors, and a large majority of their menu seems the same. Is it a cover up? Is the Johnny Rockets in Ashburn actually a Sonic? I think not, but that would be cool. Anyways, on my second hangout I talked a lot about home life and how that was going. This student and his sister don't get along as well as they can, and so sometimes he is frustrated because of life at home. So, I try to be someone that cares and just try and relate. We chatted for about an hour about home life and how youth group was going for him and then headed home after eating our amazing milkshakes. Nice!
